The Project

build a social enterprise that gives young adults with disabilities the chance to thrive.

The Vision

FAVA is part of a project called AMPLE Split-Dalmatia, where the aim is to build a social enterprise that gives young adults with disabilities the chance to thrive. Through food-based products and souvenirs, they gain real skills, confidence, and a way into the job market — reducing the risk of being left out after finishing school.

WHAT WE AIM TO DO

  • Open a community concept store that sells local, food-related products and challenges stigma around disability.
  • Support young adults with disabilities and those facing barriers to live more independently through cooking, budgeting, and real-life experience.
  • Build a strong network of local partners to grow the project and share knowledge.
  • Opening a vibrant, sustainable store.
  • Running a 10-session life skills course focused on cooking and budgeting.
  • Creating new food products developed and packaged by young adults with disabilities.
  • Connecting with at least four local organisations to expand our impact.
  • Launching a campaign to raise awareness and reach 20,000 people.

WHAT WE’RE DOING

WHAT WILL HAPPEN

  • Less stigma. More belonging.
  • Improved mental health and self-esteem for young adults with disabilities.
  • Stronger life skills for independent living.
  • A model others can follow, built on inclusion, sustainability, and local community.
